Summer Carne is my name! I am a South African living abroad offering exclusive Opera and Wine pairings in Europe, complimented by an online store delivering the finest wines from my homeland directly to your doorstep in Germany. Additionally, I am available to perform for any occasion, including weddings and functions, providing a memorable musical touch to your special event.

My idea of pairing Opera and Wine was shaped by my upbringing in the renowned Constantia Wine Region as well as my music studies at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. In between practice and concerts, I visited countless wineries and learnt about fantastic wine. My Master’s in Philosophy Degree at Trinity College Dublin developed my ideas surrounding sound and taste further. My experiences, have led me on a journey of pairing opera pieces with wine to enhance the enjoyment and appreciation of both.  This combination engages all the senses: taste, sound, smell, sight and touch. That’s why every wine in my shop comes with a special song recommendation that matches the wine’s tasting notes.
