Story

From its very humble beginnings in 1852, the town of Robertson has always been filled with the most generous of people. Dr William Robertson, the Scottish minister whom the town is named after, the hard-working community that tends to the wine farms and everyone else welcomes you with arms outstretched and warm handshakes.

Tasting Notes

A perfect opera aria to pair with this light, refreshing wine would be "Non più mesta" from La Cenerentola by Rossini. This aria is lively, playful, and brimming with joy, much like the juicy strawberry flavours and upfront red berry fruit of the wine. Its lightness and energy reflect the low alcohol and kilojoule content, creating a delightful balance between the wine's fresh vibrancy and the spirited melody of the aria.

Food Pairing

A perfect pairing for flavourful finger foods, from savoury bites to indulgent treats. Strawberries and cream add a luxurious touch, enhancing the fresh, juicy flavours, making it an ideal companion for a light and enjoyable moment.

Wine Makers Note

The Pinotage vineyard chosen for this range spans 7 hectares in Eilandia, rooted in Karoo soils. Through careful attention to the irrigation system, the sugar ripening process is slowed down while allowing full flavour development. By maintaining a smaller crop, both the colour and flavour are enhanced whilst keeping acidity in balance.
